There are many delightful hidden coves river beaches and natural features along the Swan River which a large bus tour would have no hope of negotiating.
The Coombe in Mosman Park is one such destination and there are many local stories that your guide will happily share along these stops.

Tucked away off the main road to Guildford is one of Perths True hidden treasures. The metalworking artists at Earlsferry are in a class of their own. The massive pieces they create from junk metal and scrap items or found objects are truly impressive. A highly recommended stop.

Stop At: Bon Scott Grave Carrington St & Leach Hwy Palmyra WA 6157 Australia
Resting place of local Fremantle boy and lead singer of legendary Australian rock band AC/DC Bon Scotts unassuming gravesite is a pilgrimage for local and visiting music fans alike.
Walk through the AC/DC gates and raise a toast of your favourite whiskey to the great man if you wish.

These Gin & Vodka distillers smash world records on a regular basis. Their tastings are almost a theatrical experience and story telling is their thing. And then there are the Gins!…amazing flavours neat or with tonic pairings a visit to Old Youngs in the Swan Valley is a must if you like the clear stuff!

Stop At: Bayswater Station Bayswater WA 6053 Australia
The Bayswater Railway Bridge has its own website. Look it up. It diligently tells you how many days it has been since some poor truck driver has miscalculated the height of his vehicle and stuck himself beneath its steel trusses.
The bridge may not be long for this tour as plans are in place to replace it but for now it is offered as a “drive through” option.
Locals have suggested a speaker system be installed to play “Another one Bites the Dust” every time a vehicle impacts beneath the railway bridge. Others simply joke that “She Feeds again”….

The first grower of Prosecco in the Perth Hills Tonon Winery in the Bickley Valley has a great story. Daniel & Daniella offer tastings on request and have won Best Perth Hills Sparkling in 2019 & 2020. If wines are your thing Tonon Winery is well worth a visit.

The Convict Fence in the Canning River Shelley is a little known part of Perths history. Hand built as a retaining fence for a deeper channel for the transportation of heavy timber logs in the 1860’s this line of timber posts is a mystery to many locals but can be included and its story revealed on the tour.
