This tour offers an authentic Byron Bay hinterland experience to travellers visiting the Northern Rivers. It allows the community to learn about local products meet with their local farmers and understand the hard work behind following sustainable farming practices. This is the perfect outdoor activity to discover the beauty of the Northern Rivers and taste the delicious products of the Byron hinterland.
This permaculture workshop will focus on how to plan your garden for year-round food production. You will learn about the seed-to-seed cycle and Robyn will share tips and techniques for saving your own seeds and on how to clean and store them for raising seedlings. You will get to participate in different parts of the seed-saving process and take a sample of seeds home to grow.
Morning tea will feature garden produce and home-made preserves accompanied by local Nimbin food specialities including artisan sourdough breads Nimbin Valley Dairy and Mountain Top Coffee.
The workshop includes return transportation from your pick-up location in Byron Bay to the Farm. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know at least 48h prior to the workshop.
