Itinerary
Day 1: Melbourne to Apollo Bay
Stop At: Great Ocean Road Great Ocean Road Victoria
Get picked up from your hotel or home in one of our private luxury vehicles. This tour has a suggested itinerary but we enjoy creating experiences that suit you.
The Great Ocean Road gives access to an extremely diverse and spectacular region. It caters well for the curious traveller with interests in nature history and soft adventure.
We start by traveling out of Melbourne towards Geelong where we take a stroll along the beautifully transformed waterfront esplanade that has lead a rejuvenation of this precinct and inspires many to visit the city.
Torquay is where we join the coast to start enjoying the beaches lighthouses wildlife and coastal townships. Enjoy lunch in Lorne and have enough time to take it in. The coastal road through to Apollo Bay is one of the best driving roads in the world. Every corner has stunning ocean views.
Enjoy a poke around Apollo Bay and the harbour before checking into your ocean view accommodation and dining at a famous local restaurant Chris’s.

Day 2: Apollo Bay Rainforest 12 Apostles Loch Ard Gorge Port Campbell Melbourne.
Stop At: Great Ocean Road Great Ocean Road Victoria
Enjoy a cafe breakfast with all the trimmings in Apollo Bay then walk it off a little in the rainforest. See towering Eucalyptus trees cast shadows over the lush ferns lichens and moss on the forest floor. The air is fresh and clean and there is every shade of green imaginable. For many this walk is the highlight of the tour because it is so unexpected and stunning.
We then approach the ‘Shipwreck Coast’ where many people have perished along a stretch of rugged cliffs and turbulent water. One such story that of the ‘Loch Ard’ is told by a local historian and we share some artefacts from the ship to bring this story to life.
The 12 Apostles have been sculptured over millions of years and become natural Icons for Australia. We visit early to avoid the crowds.
Lunch is in the seaside village of Port Campbell before we see some of the lesser known areas further west. After discovering London Bridge and the Bay of Islands we travel through Dairy farmland to Timboon and onto Melbourne.
