This focal peak is the heart of the largest Shield Volcano in the world! It is the most prominent and majestic looking mountain in southeast Queensland. Towering almost 4500 ft tall it is an awe-inspiring sight to see. This park is home to a World Heritage Area and is one of our favourite places to fly over in Australia.

Our flight diverts slightly south to fly Bald Rock. If Mt Barney has been around for a long time at 23 million years try this 125 million year old super-huge granite monolith! A truely spectacular and humbling sight.

As we fly towards Stanthorpe the 1st and second Pyramids and other granite rock formations are the final spectacle before landing in Stanthorpe.
