This Great Ocean Road region has some of the world surfing professionals favourite surf spots. You will discover the regions rich surf history including meeting and surfing with a local surfer as well as visiting the home of a local surfboard shaper to learn about the different boards used in the region and how they are shaped.
On this tour you will also be given an in-depth local??s experience of the Twelve Apostles and Port Campbell National Park the scenic Great Ocean Road Great Otway National Park and experiences some of Australia??s most beautiful coastal towns of Torquay Anglesea Lorne Apollo Bay and Port Campbell. As you are staying overnight in the region on this tour you will get to experience everything the region has to offer allowing for plenty of photo opportunities including the best locations for sunset and sunrise and without the rush of having to get back to Melbourne in one day.

See Australia’s most surfing beach and home of the world’s oldest surfing event the Rip Curl Pro. Here we will be greeted by a local surfer who will explain the regions surfing history different breaks and discuss there experiences of surfing at this incredible spot.

One of our favourite local photography spots this lookout provides a spectacular view over the coastline with the Great Ocean Road snaking through the Otway National Park.

Here we make our way down to the beach via the 86 steps that were carved into the face of the cliff by local settler Hugh Gibson. Once on the beach you will be dwarfed by the 70-metre high vertical cliffs while getting up close to two giant limestone stacks rising up out of the sea known as Gog and Magog.

Day 2: Surf with a Local!

Enjoy a one or two hour surf with a local surfer (for experienced surfers) or enjoy a private surf lesson (for those less experienced/wanting to further develop their surfing skills). This is suitable for everyone we will tailor this experience and our beach location to match your experience (none required). Once you get out of the surf you will enjoy breakfast the local surfer and our local guide.
